The Housing Coalition of South Central Tennessee is accepting applications from Maury County residents who are in need of home repairs. The program is made possible by funding and support from First Farmer’s Bank of Columbia, grants and several local churches.
Maury County residents who own their own homes are encouraged to apply.
“This program is designed to help low income home owners return their homes to safe and sanitary conditions,” executive director Robin Watson said.
The Housing Coalition of South Central Tennessee serves Maury county, as well as surrounding counties, including Giles, Marshall, Lewis, Lawrence, and Hickman. In addition to the Owner Occupied Repair program, HCSCT assists low income and workforce families purchase their first home.
“There are a several lending sources available that work specifically with low income first time home buyers. Anyone who has been considering home ownership should contact our office to learn about these opportunities,” said Stephen Murray, board chair of HCSCT.
